Corolla Capers Rural Nursing Scholarship

Applications for 2026 open Monday 13 July 2026 at 9am and close Sunday 30 August 2026 at 6pm

The Rotary Club of Regency Park, through the Corolla Capers initiative and with the support of the Country Universities Centre (CUC) Far West, will award up to two scholarships to local Far West NSW students undertaking undergraduate nursing studies. The scholarships aim to support local people in their pursuits of nursing qualifications, acknowledging the expenses involved in studying and preparing for work in rural and isolated communities.

A total funding pool of $6,500 is available. Scholarships will be awarded on merit and may be offered to one or two applicants. Applicants must be registered to access the services and facilities at CUC Far West and be undertaking study at an Australian university or registered training organisation.

Applications for 2026 open Monday 13 July 9am and close Sunday 30 August 6pm. Successful applicants will be notified within two (2) weeks of the application closing date, and a lump sum payment will be arranged to their preferred account.

Consideration of applicants for the Corolla Capers Rural Nursing Scholarship will be undertaken by the selection panel consisting of two representatives from the Rotary Club of Regency Park, the CUC Far West Centre Manager and the CUC Far West Engagement Coordinator. CUC Far West will convene and chair the selection process. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom. The decision of the selection panel will be final. Any appeal will be managed in accordance with CUC Far West Guidelines.

To be eligible for the Corolla Capers Rural Nursing Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Currently reside in Far West NSW. Proof of address may need to be provided upon request.
  • Be enrolled in, or have received an offer to study, an undergraduate nursing qualification at an Australian university or registered training organisation. Proof of enrolment/offer will need to be provided as part of the application process.
  • Be registered to access the services and facilities at CUC Far West at the time of application.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a nursing career in a rural or isolated community.
  • Provide two referees, one personal and one academic/professional, who may be contacted to provide additional information about the application.
